Staying at Yulara resort campground with all the Grey Nomads and about 6 busloads of Year 11 students from all around Victoria. I don't know which group is the more entertaining!
Sensational views of Uluru from a sand dune near our campsite, and a sudden storm (yes, our drought-breaking skills yet again!), created a gorgeous rainbow to add to the photos.
Quote of the day from Sienna on first glimpse of Uluru : "Oh my god it's shockingly big!"
Today Peter and Alex scared the living daylights out of themselves and climbed the rock. Or should I say crawled up it on hands and trembling knees!!! They didn't really plan to do it, but we all clambered up the first bit, then they kept on going to get to chicken rock. Apparently Alex was The Motivator Man and despite his fear of heights, became the brave one, encouraging his Dad to keep going to the top. I've never seen the two of them so proud of themselves.
All they needed was a Pies win to really top off the day...Hmmmm.....
We've been swimming loads, as the weather is hot, hot, hot!

Congrats to Pete and Alex, what a mission! You should both be very proud of yourselves. Didn't realise that Alex had height fright, so particularly major effort.

Geelong is a very happy town today, heaps of people driving around with flags out of their car windows - sorry just had to share that with you all. :( cheer up always next year.

Hi all, well it would appear that you guys really are having a big affect on the weather around Australia because of your trip! Today there was a massive dust storm that covered Sydney. They said it came from the Red Centre where you guys are! Then there was some sort of earth tremor/quake in Frankston, Pearcedale etc. What on earth are you guys doing up there??
